wow!

i've been meaning to start my own blog for quite a while. well, i told myself i wasn't patient enough to update it often. and there was this issue of signing up and selecting a name.
one day last week, i missed my once-in-30-mins bus by the fraction of a minute...and sat down on a bench at the stop, appreciating the fact that daylight extended till late evening nowadays...
atleast it wasnt a dark, cold night! the distant top of a building glowed golden in the sunlight...and i suddenly got reminded of the golden gopuram at tirupathi - its amazing how far the mind travels in a moment...
it occurred to me that there were these little moments which added beauty to every day...i wanted a record of it somewhere...and this blog was born :)

dvijavanti is a beautiful raga

and M.S.Subbulakshmi's rendition of 'akhilandeshwari' in dvijavanti raga is one of the most soothing pieces of music i know.
